I am a clinical psychologist in private practice in the Dartmouth College and Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire.
Therapy Style
I am an active therapist, sensitive and authentic. I have a deep respect for diversity and the individual’s own path. Together we’ll examine your life, alert to possible contradictions. We’ll explore the wisdom or effectiveness of certain behaviors or beliefs.
Through supportive listening, education, mindfulness training, empowerment and expert guidance, you will become more aware of unhealthy patterns as well as hidden strengths. These discoveries will lead you to make positive changes to improve your life experience. They will strengthen your sense of what you want and what makes you feel good, moment to moment and long term.
Training & Experience
I did my undergraduate work at Dartmouth College then earned a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. While doing my doctoral work I completed a predoctoral fellowship working with adolescents with ADD. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship working with adolescents and adults with eating disorders and body image disturbance. I’ve practiced in a variety of settings including a community mental health clinic, city hospitals, private college counseling centers (at Dartmouth College and New York University), and a hospital for patients legally deemed Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity.
I’ve been in private practice since 2004.
