Though I do not take insurance, many of my patients are able to get reimbursed by their insurance company for sessions with me as an out-of-network provider. Before arranging a first session, you can call your insurance company to discuss whether or not this is possible. If they agree to considering me an out-of-network provider, you’d then pay me in full at each session, and in return I’d give you a statement which includes all the information you’ll need to submit. (Most insurance companies have their own paperwork they will also need you to fill out and attach to the submission.) If you are using insurance, from time to time there might be paperwork I am required to fill out, which we will do together in session. I am not able to make phone calls to insurance companies on behalf of my patients.
