I have a special interest in working with individuals or couples who are deciding whether to adopt, or who have begun the often difficult process of adoption preparation, or who have brought their new baby home and are looking for post-adoption support.
I am interested in working with adults who were adopted, and who might still struggle or just wish to understand more how this experience impacts their identity and their sense of self in the world.
I also have a special interest in working with issues related to transracial adoption. For adoptive families or for the person who was adopted, race adds a complicating layer. Our work together will offer a safe space to explore the sometimes difficult, sometimes conflicting emotions that this rich history brings up.
I do not work with children or families dealing with attachment issues related to adoption.
